My blog has been up and fully running for the better part of 6 months now. I get a regular number of hits a day (usually around the 200 mark not counting myself), which I am happy with. But what I don't get a lot of, is comments on my post, so I never know if what I've written is interesting, if people agree or disagree, or any kind of feedback. For a total of 54 posts I only have received 70 comments, of which some have been posted by myself in response to other comments.. So I've been wondering why there has been such a lack of comments.
My guess is, that people do not know how to comment as an Anonymous user. Not everyone has a google account which is fine, so a few months ago I have enabled the option to allow anonymous comments.
To post a comment as an anonymous user or as a non-blogger user, use the comment box to type what you want to say, then, in the drop-down box below it either select "anonymous" (if you want to stay anonymous) or "Name/URL" to provide a name. And that's it guys. But be warned! Derogatory comments will be removed, so please be constructive.
So please readers, I get 200 hits a day on average, let me know what you think of my posts, so i can get some quality feedback. Comments will be my only indication if I'm on the right path to providing interesting reading material, and that is after all what I'm trying to do here.
Keep on hunting,
Serebihm
I like your posts, some of them have been useful for me. What I like the most, are hunterspecific bossguides, macro-guides, PVP-Stuff and archievement-guides.
ReplyDeleteExcuse my english, I am german. Just read my comment with a schwarzenegger-voice in your head.

Don't stress too much, I read somewhere that less than 1% of readers will actually leave comments. While I leave comments more than most I still probably slip into that 99% bracket.
ReplyDeleteYour doing a great job with the blog. Keep it up.

Funny you would make this post. I have been reading your blog for sometime now and have wondered many times why nobody comments. I am guilty of that as well, sorry. What I should have been doing is telling you that I appreciate the blog. So, here goes, thank you for your time and effort. It is always nice to stop by the site and check out what is new with hunters. The site is very nice and gives me a crib sheet for hunter info since I am a casual wow player. Thanks again and please keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI read but don't comment a lot as I'm not currently playing my Hunter, but I do like to keep abreast of what's going on with the class so when I do pick him up again I'm not totally lost. So this blog is part of my Hunter reading, but I often have nothing to say as I have no current in-game experience from which to draw.
ReplyDeleteHi, only recently came across your blog and find your posts useful, hence I bookmarked and came back! Don't often have the time to comment though. FYI, my main is a survival hunter and no, despite Aimed Shot being apparently the dog's bollocks, I'm not switching to MM because being top of Recount isn't the reason why I play WoW. I'll try to comment more often, may even comment on some of your older posts!
ReplyDeleteDitto. You're on my blog reader. Thanks for your efforts. I think people comment more on blogs when topics are controversial. Keep it up, you'll get a following.
